Bird Is The Word

As soon as the bright sun cleared the rainy sky a trio of local artists started on a new wall mural, the latest in a series sponsored by Outside Art: Plattsburgh Art Project. New Mural, New Layer

PLATTSBURGH CITY, NY -- 8/15/20

With scaffolding and an extra long roller local artist Gharan Burton adds the background layer to an upcoming mural. The wall facing City Hall Place will be painted with a variety of birds. Perfectly Practical

PLATTSBURGH CITY, NY -- 08/14/20

For years this stairway has sat behind the Gateway Building in the Durkee Street parking lot. As you can see it provides practical access to Broad Street. When a small project ends up this way I have doubts about a large one like the proposed Prime Plattsburgh LLC project that would displace convenient parking in the Durkee Street lot for an apartment complex.
